Love my Parkinsons Recovery interviews with people on the road to recovery but listening on your computer is a pain in the ...
?
- My goal is to transform people's lives that have the symptoms of Parkinson's.
- My dream is to document the recovery of thousands of people.
- My mission is to help people maintain the positive thinking that is necessary for recovery to unfold.
- My weekly internet Parkinsons Recovery Radio Programs offer ongoing support and information to individuals who are looking for ways to find relief from the symptoms of Parkinsons.
People tell me that they love my radio show but hate listening to the programs on their computer. I want to be perfectly clear here. You can always access the Parkinsons Recovery radio programs for free through your computer.
All shows are archived. You can always listen to my radio shows at your computer or download them to an MP3 player and listen to the shows while exercising, cooking or running errands. The radio program page is here:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/parkinsons-recovery
Some people tell me their computers are unable to connect to the Parkinsons Recovery radio program website for various reason. Some connect to the internet through satellite internet servers. The connection speed is so slow that my radio program page never loads. Others tell me that they do not have computers.
Still others have electromagnetic sensitivities. They cannot sit in front of a computer even if they wanted to. Regardless of the reason, many people are missing out on the information in the Parkinsons Recovery weekly radio programs.
Now anyone anywhere can listen to my weekly Parkinsons Recovery radio shows. A company in Olympia, Washington, Bandit Audio, has graciously offered to master the radio program CDs, copy them and snail mail them to people who do not have computers (or hate using them). Anyone can now listen to the Parkinsons Recovery radio programs on CDs without having access to a computer or even logging onto a computer even if you have one.
About the Parkinsons Recovery Radio Programs
Interviews on the Parkinsons Recovery radio programs offer hope and support, both of which are especially important when you begin to feel down in the dumps. The shows are weekly reminders that it is possible to begin feeling better now.
Thanks to Bandit Audio we are now able to ship out a CD to you of every week's radio program by snail mail the week after the program is aired.
I host a different guest on the show every week. Programs are fun to hear and educational. A listing of upcoming guests is not available because (quite frankly) I typically plan out who I will interview the week immediately before the program is aired.
Previous guests of Parkinsons Recovery Radio have included:
-
naturopath doctors
- medical doctors
-
people with Parkinson's who are on the road to recovery
-
authors of books about Parkinson's
-
scientific researchers
-
music therapists
- audiologists
-
nutritional counselors
-
emotional freedom technique practitioners
- Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioners
- Tai Chi instructors (and authors)
-
physical therapists
-
meditation scholars
-
aroma therapists
-
herbalists
-
energy healers
-
people who have had Deep Brain Stimulation
- psychologists
-
psychics
-
chiropractors
-
people who take prescription medications and people who don't
-
people who take supplements and people who don't
You name it. In short, I interview anyone who can offer insights on what therapies and treatments are helping people with the symptoms of Parkinson's feel better. I have discovered that there are many medical specialties that can help people with the symptoms of Parkinsons feel better.
Bonus CDs
As a special bonus, we will also ship a second CD to you every week which contains six meditations I record the week the radio program is aired. These are the same meditations that I post on the Parkinsons Recovery member website (http://www.parkinsonsrecovery.org). Meditations focus on a critical aspect of the recovery process.
- Some meditations include explanations of therapies that have helped people with Parkinson's feel better.
Each week's meditations offer fresh experiences and novel approaches to healing. I vary the approach and format. Variety helps build new neural networks to facilitate better mobility, balance and centeredness.
I can't list the upcoming medication topics for the weeks ahead because I really do not know what I am going to create from week to week. It is always a surprise to me too.
What is Required of Me?
When you receive your two CDs every week, your only job is to pop them into a CD player and start listening. There is no need to turn on a computer, remember a username and password or navigate your way through the Parkinsons Recovery member web site.
Listen to the radio programs and meditations on your CD player before going to sleep at night or just after waking up in the morning. Listen to the radio programs and meditations as often as you wish without having to sit in front of a computer.
What can listening to the weekly radio programs and meditations on CDs do for you?
- Receive a weekly infusion of hope - Thoughts are the cornerstone to recovery. Information on the CDs is always upbeat and positive. I report the positive news about what people are doing to feel better. You don't have to imagine whether recovery is possible. You don't have to guess what other people are doing to feel better. You get to hear stories from people who are doing it. This is motivating for everyone.
- Discover therapies you never knew existed - It is amazing to learn how fast the medical world is changing these days. Very effective therapies are being invented all the time. Learn about them by listening to the CDs every week.
- Motivate yourself to stay on track - It is so easy to fall off the wagon so to speak and become discouraged about whether you are recovering. The weekly meditations help you maintain a program of recovery so you can feel better more quickly.
- Release any self-sabotage that may be undermining your recovery - Everyone is very good at self-sabotage. We tell ourselves we are doing everything necessary to feel better, but the truth is we are not really doing what is needed. Denial is a big for most people. The meditations are crafted to challenge the unconscious parts of ourselves that may be sabotaging recovery.
- Slip out of the back seat into the driver's seat - The weekly meditations do not prescribe or diagnose. That work is left to the medical doctors. The information I create helps you acknowledge the many options that exist for healing.
- Discover the best next steps that are right for you - Weekly meditations help you identify the best next steps that can help you feel better.
- Laugh yourself silly - Many of the people I interview on the radio programs are very funny people. If you don't laugh at their jokes you can always laugh at me.
- Percolate your creativity - Some meditations are specifically written and recorded to spark your creativity.
- Reduce your stress - Symptoms are tied to stress. The weekly meditations bring you to a state of balance and harmony so that stress no longer rules your life.
Benefits of Listening to the Parkinsons Recovery Radio Programs
- You get help with learning techniques that will help you reduce stress, calm anxieties and resolve feelings that may be dragging you down into the gutter.
- You get help with manifesting health and wellness.
- You get help with making decisions about your own health care.
- You get to build new neural networks.
- You get fresh ideas on how to feel better every week so that you have more energy and enjoy life fully.
- You get to be reminded there is always hope.
- You get to discover new ways to feel better every week.
- You get help with breaking out of old routines that are not in your best and highest good.
- You get weekly reminders about the healthy habits that nurture your body, mind and spirit.
How Can the Radio Program CDs Help You Feel Better?
Because symptoms are so up and down for most people, it is easy to find yourself down in the dumps, unable to take any of the actions that are important to a successful recovery program. Some days you probably don't feel like eating healthy food, exercising your body or exercising your mind. Getting a sugar fix and becoming a couch potato is the best any of us can do some days.
How can you jump start yourself when you are down in the dumps? One great alterative is to listen to the meditations and the radio programs on CDs. The postal carrier will deliver them to your mailbox every week like clockwork.
If you don't feel like getting out of bed, you can always pop a meditation or radio program into the CD player and zone out. The meditations and radio programs are all about helping you feel better, more energized, more hopeful, more active and more joyful.
What do you Receive When You Order the Parkinsons Recovery CDs of Radio Programs and Meditations?
With a subscription to receive a CD of the Parkinsons Recovery weekly radio program you receive (every week) one CD that contains a recording of the previous week's radio program and one bonus CD that contains the six meditations that I recorded for the week.
